Welcome to My Fundraiser for BC Cancer Foundation
Breast cancer doesn't feel distant when someone you know goes through it. It changes the way you see everything. You start noticing the pink ribbons differently. You actually read the posters at the mall. And at some point, you stop thinking "that's sad" and start thinking "what can I actually do?"
That's where this came from for me.
The BC Cancer Foundation funds research and treatment programs right here in our province, for people in our communities who are dealing with breast cancer right now. These aren't just statistics. They're mothers, sisters, friends, and neighbours who are going through something most of us can't fully imagine, and who are counting on the work being done to actually get better.
I wanted to be part of that. Not in a massive way, not overnight, but in whatever way I could. And I think that's kind of the whole point. You don't have to do something huge. You just have to decide it matters enough to do something at all.
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in Canada. But survival rates keep improving because of research, because of funding, because of people who chose to show up. Every donation, no matter the size, goes toward that. It goes toward someone getting a diagnosis earlier, or a treatment that's less brutal, or a chance at more time with their family.
I think when something affects real people in a real place you live in, the least you can do is care. And if you can do more than that, you should.

WE DID ITTT!!
Sunday 20th Sep hello thank you to eveyone we have went above and beyond for this fundraiser, and I really appreciate all of you. This was a great fundraiser and I had a great experience truly amazing there’s a lot of kindness in the world, and we will all help and continue fighting for cancer. This truly made impact a lot for everyone out there dealing with cancer, but it really made an impact a lot for me in my heart. I know some people affected with breast cancer and know how hard it can be and this gave me a sigh in belief that we are all caring and loving for this movement. Thanks again everyone for the online and cash donations.
Why I'm Raising Money for Breast Cancer Research in BC

That's where this came from for me.
I have a lot of women in my life that I care about. My mom, my family, my friends. People I can't imagine losing. And the reality is, breast cancer doesn't pick. It doesn't care who you are or how much the people around you need you. That thought alone was enough to make me want to do something, because I don't want to watch someone I love go through that if there was anything I could have done to help find a cure sooner.
The BC Cancer Foundation funds research and treatment right here in our province, for people in our own communities who are going through this right now. These aren't just statistics. They're mothers, sisters, and daughters counting on that work to get better.
