Manpreet's Birthday of Gratitude - $1,000 for BC Cancer

By Manpreet Sidhu

My Birthday, My Thank You! Welcome to My Fundraiser for BC Cancer Foundation

My Birthday, My Thank You!

This year, I’m celebrating my birthday a little differently.

In 2019, I became a cancer patient.

I know what it feels like to receive a diagnosis that changes your world. I know the uncertainty, the appointments, the waiting, and how much it means to have incredible people and resources around you during one of the hardest chapters of your life.

I was fortunate to receive care through BC Cancer, and today, I get to celebrate another year of life.

That is something I don’t take for granted.

So this birthday month, I'm hoping to turn my celebration into something that gives back.

I’m asking my friends, family, clients and community to help me give back.

My goal is to raise $1,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation.

Every donation, big or small, will help support cancer research and care right here in British Columbia.

If you were thinking about getting me a birthday gift this year, please consider making a donation instead.

And even if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing this fundraiser means so much to me.

Thank you for helping me turn my birthday into something bigger than myself.

$1,000. One birthday. A whole lot of gratitude.

With love,

Manpreet

My Birthday, My Thank You! Welcome to My Fundraiser for BC Cancer Foundation

Wednesday 7th Oct
This year, I’m giving my birthday a little more meaning.

In 2019, I became a cancer patient.

Going through cancer changes your perspective in ways that are difficult to explain unless you’ve lived it. There were moments of fear, uncertainty, and exhaustion that I’ll never forget but there were also moments of incredible kindness, strength, and hope. I’ll always remember the appointments, the people who showed up for me, and the compassionate care that helped carry me through one of the most difficult chapters of my life.

Today, I get to celebrate another year of life.

That is something I never take for granted.

Surviving cancer has made every birthday feel a little more meaningful. It has reminded me how precious life is, how much support matters, and how deeply grateful I am to still be here.

So for my birthday this year, I’m doing something a little different.

This birthday month, I’m hoping to turn my celebration into something that gives back.

My goal is to raise $1,000 for the BC Cancer Foundation, and I’d love for you to be part of it. Whether it’s $10, $25, $50, or whatever feels right for you, every contribution brings me one step closer to that goal.

If donating isn’t possible, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated.

This cause is incredibly personal to me. BC Cancer was part of my own journey, and being able to give back to an organization that supported me and so many others means more than I can put into words.

Thank you for celebrating another year of life with me and for helping me turn my gratitude into something that can support others facing cancer.

With love,

Manpreet
