John-Eric's cancer journey began in early 2024 when he was diagnosed with appendix cancer, a rare and often little-known form of the disease. Throughout his journey, he faced each challenge with courage, resilience, and unwavering faith, all while walking alongside his beloved wife, Joanne, as she faced her own battle with cancer. Joanne passed away just over three months before John-Eric's own passing in October.
Despite the immense challenges and heartbreak, John-Eric's kindness, generosity, sense of humour, and genuine love for others continued to shine, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Because of the rarity of appendix cancer, much remains to be learned about its diagnosis and treatment. Through your generous donation, we hope to advance research, improve treatment options, and bring hope to other individuals and families facing this devastating disease.
